Did you know that I offer custom venue or location sketches? They are the ultimate personal touch and I absolutely LOVE creating these one-off illustrations for my couples. They can be added to any of the existing semi custom wedding stationery collections and almost all my custom design couples add one to their suites! It could be the church your wedding ceremony is held in, the stunning view from your reception venue or an iconic local landmark with meaning to you both. Getting married at your family home? These make an extra special keepsake for your family to treasure!

Wanting just a sketch and not an invitation suite or wedding reception stationery? Not a problem - I am happy to provide you with your illustration file suitable to put onto your wedding website or supply to your existing designer. These also make wonderful Birthday or Christmas gifts if you’re wanting something extra thoughtful this year, or for that certain someone who has everything…! Printing onto premium card and also handmade paper is available too.

Wedding Venue Sketch - Ohakuri Rise, Taupo

Taupo’s newest wedding venue, this hand drawn sketch captures the impressive main building and it’s iconic ‘OR’ signage on the side. The Waikato river sweeps around behind it, with the rolling farmland and bush captured in the background.

Wedding Venue Illustration - Winehouse, Queenstown

This hand drawn sketch includes all the beautiful details of Winehouse’s impressive outdoor ceremony area. The tall columnar trees and carefully curated gardens are captured, along with those iconic mountains.

Wedding Venue Illustration - The Rippon Hall, Wanaka

This hand drawn sketch captures the inside of The Rippon Halls main ceremony and reception area. You get a sense of the iconic rounded ceiling shape, the beautiful wooden floors and that perfectly placed window. Seen through which I have sketched the Southern Alps, Lake Wanaka and Ruby Island.

New to the wedding scene, this is one of Hawke’s Bay’s most premier wedding venues. This hand drawn sketch captures the impressive building - the full glass front overlooks the ocean, stone facade, the original stone chimneys and the surrounding garden of NZ native plants.

Wedding Venue Illustration - Medlicott Garden, Private Residence

This hand drawn sketch captures the gardens and lake of this family’s private estate. Drawn as a thoughtful addition for the wedding invitations for their daughter this sketch shows the impressive mature trees, stone walled lake and a hint of the garden reflection in the water.

Wedding Venue Illustration - The Rippon Hall, Wanaka

This is a hand drawn sketch of one of Wanaka’s most popular wedding venues. It captures the building’s unique roofline as you enter the property, as well as the impressive hills behind. To the right you can see the rolling fields of Rippon Vineyard, the Southern Alps and Lake Wanaka.

Wedding Venue Illustration - Old Forest School, Te Puke

This hand drawn sketch was a delight to do! I loved sketching the rustic, original wooden barn and its beautiful creeping foliage. Festoon lights, decks either side and a glimpse into the barn are all captured, along with the surrounding mix of mature trees and native bush.

Not just for weddings, these hand drawn custom sketches also work beautifully as a thoughtful gift. This family home has been cherished for the last 30 years, so upon its sale we sketched this illustration as a special keepsake.
